Dropback

Any play where the quarterback intended to pass — including sacks and scrambles, excluding spikes and aborted plays. Per-attempt stats hide sacks; per-dropback stats do not.

The filter, exactly as it runs

qb_dropback = 1 AND (aborted_play = 0 OR aborted_play IS NULL) AND two_point_attempt = 0

Where this is arguable

Scrambles that become designed-looking runs are coded inconsistently across seasons.

These are the objections I already know about. If you have a better one, or you think a different threshold tells a truer story, say so and I will re-run it with your numbers and publish what comes back.
